Hi, my name is Emily. And I’m addicted to Pinterest.

As if I needed one more time sucker on my hands. I could spend a whole day on this site! If you haven’t heard of Pinterest – you need to jump on the band wagon! Taken directly from their website:

“Think of Pinterest as a virtual pinboard — a place where you can create collections of things you love and “follow” collections created by people with great taste.

People use Pinterest to collect and share all sorts of things — wedding inspiration, favorite T-shirts, DJ equipment. You name it, people are pinning it.”

And it’s ADDICTING! I used to save images to a folder on my computer and have to manually label where each image came from – although because this was time consuming I didn’t always do it. Thus, forgetting where I originally saw it! On Pinterest all of that is automatically saved for you. For example, I “pinned” a picture for a yummy looking recipe and it automatically saves the source/website for me to refer back to when I actually want to make it!
It is a great business tool, inspiration spot, and most of all a place to see lots of cool stuff! This takes my inspiration binders to a whole new level!

Pinterest is currently still brand new. Right now you have to request an invite to join. Within a few days/week you will receive your confirmation to create an account. Then you install a little “Pin It” button on your task bar and everytime you’re perusing the interwebs and you see something you like – hit “pin it”, choose your board, add a label if you wish, and voila! It’s done! You can “repin” or “like” other people’s pins till the cows come home…thus filling up your boards very quickly! (See: addiction).
