APRIL FOOLS!!! Did I have you cringing for a second?
Instead of raising money for a new camera for myself (puke), I’d love to raise money for an organization near and dear to my heart: Soulumination.
“Soulumination celebrates the lives of children and parents facing life-threatening conditions by providing professional photographs of these special individuals and their families, free of charge. Our photographs are an enduring, beautiful record of the child or parent. We strive to provide comfort, love and healing to all who view them.”
I have been volunteering for this special organization for over a year now and I can say that these sessions are the most life-giving moments for me. Walking into a children’s hospital is like walking into heaven as far as I’m concerned. You can feel that everyone is just on a different plane of existence, from the parents, doctors, nurses, and children themselves. There is so much love, care, mercy, and gratitude.
You can contribute to this organization through a one-time donation, recurring donation, purchasing something off of their Amazon wishlist, or just following them on social media and sharing their mission with others. They also have a few events throughout the year – including an amazing Wreath sale in the fall.
