When we (all 17 of us) were home for the 4th of July holiday I had planned to take family pictures for my sisters and their families. Everyone got dressed up… and then a storm rolled in…
Even though we were unable to go through with our plans I just love the story these images tell!
Our childhood home is set in the middle of the Palouse in Colton, WA, surrounded by the rolling hills of wheat, slowly turning from green to golden yellow this time of year.
The large picture windows were the perfect viewing point to watch the storm – much better than any movie we could’ve chosen!
Things cleared up just as the sun set. But fear not! We stayed an extra night so I could get the magical pictures I was hoping for. Stay tuned for those!
