NYC Day 2

Okay, now we’re getting to the good stuff. Don’t get me wrong, I love traveling with Tom – we travel best to beachy/tropical locations as we both enjoy relaxing, reading, sunnying, swimming. But travel to a city? With destinations and agendas? Total oppisites. Tourist stuff and sports are on his agenda. Me, I want to shop and find some of the “hidden gems”. Lucky for me, Shannon and I are basically the same person. Our agenda for today? Shop, shop, eat and shop.

First stop: Fishs Eddyswoon
?

these vintage rubber glove molds were so cool. Loved the color palette.

A friend had told me about ABC Carpet and Home- which just happened to be next door. Taken directly from their site: ten floors offering an inspired collection of rugs, furniture, antiques, home textiles, accessories and sustainable furnishings

their never-ending supply of rugs
Lunch was here. And again, probably the best food I’ve ever eaten. Chicken Tortilla Pot Pie? With chihuahua cheese? How do they make chihuahua cheese? Milk them? šŸ™‚
After visiting a few other stores we raced home to get ready for our first Broadway show. Can you guess what we saw??

It was awesome! Sitting in the 2nd row didn’t hurt either. So fun!

And followed up with a yummy drink and dinner at an Irish Pub.

Tomorrow? More shopping! This time vintage.
