My mother-in-law has an amazing garden. It looks like it has been there for years – but no! They built a new garage in their backyard last year – basically hiding her old garden from view. So she made another one lickety split! Over the course of a few weeks she dug up all of the grass (by hand! with a small knife!) and gradually added new plants.

No wonder they spend most of their waking hours (and sleeping hours) in the backyard. I would too if I had this to look at!
