I’ve just added 2 new designs to my portfolio:
I can see this design on fabric, notebooks, children’s wear… I do struggle with naming of my designs though. Thoughts?

The top 100 finalists have been announced in the Fabric 8 Geek Chic contest! Now voting is open to the public! I’d love for you to vote for my “Dapper Geek” design.
The top 8 designs will then be asked to submit their entire coordinating collection. The judges will determine the winner from here. Winner receives a licensing deal with Robert Kaufman fabrics – which will produce their designs and sell them to the public!
You can vote here for my “Dapper Geek” design – scroll through all 7 pages of designs, clicking on the design(s) you’d like to vote for. You will then be prompted to confirm your choice(s) twice before submitting!
Thank you!
Here’s a sneak peek of a few of the coordinating patterns:
Something I heard at church several months ago and it has become my mantra. For someone who suffers from severe anxiety this has become a soothing phrase to hear over and over in my mind. I thought, wouldn’t it be nice to have a visual reminder? This is being hung in my room so it’s the first thing I see in the morning and last thing I see at night.

And of course, I couldn’t make just one. I will be offering these in my ETSY shop soon too – so I can do my part in spreading a little calm (and cuteness) to the world. I’m also thinking journals…?
Trolling through my computer files I came across this invite I did a while back. I wish I could take credit for the clever wording – but that all came from my customer. She was throwing a “Favorite Things” Birthday party for her twin girls. I don’t know about you, but I wish I could’ve been there!
Each guest was given a cd of the girls’ favorite songs as well. I sure hope this song was included.
I’ve been anxiously awaiting the release of the 3rd issue of MOYO Magazine. Not only because it’s a super cool magazine dedicated to my favorite topic: surface pattern design, but because the “Emerging Designer” article features yours truly. Here I talk about what inspires me, my working process, and the big goals I have for my business.
This magazine includes interviews, design briefs, colour challenges, art reviews, student showcases, design tips, inspiration, trends and more – and this third issue is all about FABRIC! MOYO is a digital magazine and can be read here. Be sure to read pages 58-59!
