After more than 10 years photographing newborns in Seattle (and years in the classroom before that), I’m comfortable stepping into real homes with real energy. Whether it’s soothing a newborn, keeping a toddler engaged, or chatting with older siblings, sessions are guided but relaxed so everyone feels included.

I decided last-minute to do some maternity shots about a month before my due date, and Emily graciously fit me into her schedule. She was encouraging of my vision and had tons of unique ideas for both shoots. She spent ample time with us in our home and we really felt like we got what we wanted! We even have some really cute ones with our pup too :) And what's really fun is that we even recreated some of the shots from the maternity shoot after baby girl was born and now have some beautiful "before baby / after baby" photos. Absolutely, if dogs are part of your family then they are part of the story we should tell. I've worked with all types of dogs from really engergetic to more shy. There is always a way to include them in a safe, meaningful way.
Can I include dogs in my newborn photos

How far you travel for newborn photos?
I'm a big fan of white and other light colors for newborn sessions! It gives such a clean, bright, and neutral aesthetic. Once you book a session, you will receive a what to wear and how to prepare guide!
How should we dress for a photo session with our baby?
All newborn sessions are family inclusive. That means siblings, parents and your family pets are welcome and encouraged as we document this chapter of your family's story.
